THE ANALYSIS OF GRAMMATICAL ERRORS ON STUDENTS’ ESSAY WRITING BY USING GRAMMARLY

Considering the importance of grammar knowledge in process writing essays to students, researchers aimed research and explain errors students English Department at UNISKA Kediri. The study is classified into qualitative study. analyzed 14 samples Essays written by students. To classify different types made identify common student are using triangulation method. results this found grammatical students' consist 7 total section, including 19,66% were articles a/an/the error, 13,68% punctuation errors, 11,97% plural/singular preposition 5,13% tenses 0,85% + V1 pronoun error. Those indicated problems faced essays. most dominant error 19,66%. Researcher also students’ difficulties facing their That questionnaire answers. selecting developing topic, write a well structured sentence paragraph, grammar, vocabulary. Based on findings essays, researcher hopes be more aware with correct wrong Grammarly Application help
